Slow flow Occupational Therapists provide tailored support to individuals experiencing mental ill-health, as well as the neurodiverse community. We service the Northern Rivers region of NSW, on Bundjalung country via home visits or community visits. Coming together to meet wherever you feel most at home (we certainly are not opposed to beach or forest meet ups!). We also provide telehealth service Australia wide.
Slow flow OT values curiosity, the power of individual story and placing you at the center of your therapeutic or recovery journey. As the name suggests we also believe in slow, gentle living, taking things moment by moment by moment toward fulfilling purposeful living.
Rhiannon Crisp, The OT Lifestyle Movement
Colleen has five years of clinical experience working across the pediatric and mental health space as an occupational therapist. Colleen has a passion for working with both adults and young people. Colleen weaves several therapeutic approaches into her practice. She values understanding mind-body connection, acknowledging the systematic and environmental influences on well-being as well as supporting individuals cultivating curiosity and compassion toward their unique recovery or self-discovery journey. Colleen is a dedicated learner and is continuously exploring ways in which she can embody what she teaches specifically in relation to developing routine and rhythms in life, acknowledging the wisdom and shifts of the nervous system, building tools for regulation and working toward living a values driven, rich and meaningful life one occupation at a time.

“Neurodiversity is the art of celebrating the unique wiring of every brain.” – Corina Lynn Becker "
We follow a Nuro affirming framework when working with neurodiverse clients meaning we do not believe in "fixing" or "changing" the person. We believe in empowering the individual and their supports to understand their neurotype, explore the difference in how they and others see and interpret the world around them, and provide adaptations and supports that affirm neurodivergent identities. Through this approach we hope to reduce shame and empower individuals to become their own advocates and live authentically.
We commonly support individuals with
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD,
Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD,
We work with adolescence and adults, from age 14 and above.
